High Definition HD 1080p

Just because movie film is old doesn't mean it's not capable of producing high quality HD videos files. Surprisingly, old movie film produces higher quality video than Video Tapes. Video Tapes are only Standard Definition, and the magnetic tape does not produce as high of quality video that movie film produces.

With the prevalence of High Definition TV's, Smart Phones and Tablets, it makes sense to transfer your movie film at the highest possible quality- High Definition.

Movie Film can be saved as a High Definition Video File - Mp4 Video file. This video file can be viewed on a computer, phone, tablet and on social media sites. Once on your computer you can use video editing software to create custom videos and discs. You can also use Pixorial, which is an online video sharing software that allows you to access, edit & view your videos online.

If you want to view a High Definition Video on your TV, you can have your movie film converted and saved to a Blu-Ray disc. Blu-Rays discs are the highest quality disc to view on your TV. Just make sure that you actually own a Blu-Ray player!

Standard Definition

If you want your video saved onto a DVD because you don't yet own a Blu-Ray player, that is fine. We produce high quality Standard Definition 480 DVD's. All DVD's are standard definition, even if you have your movie film transferred at High Definition. If you want both the video file version AND a DVD, you should have your files transferred at High Definition. You can use the High Definition Video File on your computer, to share and edit and then watch the Standard Definition DVD.

Some people haven't jumped onto the High Definition bandwagon, or only want a DVD copy, so we still do offer Standard Definition Movie Film Transfers. Standard Definition videos are captured using the same equipment as the High Definition video files, so it won't have a difference in capture quality.

Standard Definition is available on a DVD or a Mp4 Video file - or both. You can view the standard definition video file on your computer, edit the videos on your computer or post it online. Standard Definition video can be edited same as high definition, it just can't be saved to a Blu-Ray Disc.
